Behind the Scenes at PROJECT B
We're working with one of San Francisco's most experienced fine art printing companies to produce the limited edition prints for PROJECT B. Here's a little behind the scene look at one of the first test prints we made (16" x 20").
This image presented some particular challenges: it's from an early 20th century German glass slide. See the finished print.

Hi Desiree,
Starting with a glass slide was a bit unusual but we always face a challenge in terms of whether to (or how much to) adjust the image for enlargement. Sometimes things that don’t seem noticeable on the original feel very distracting on the large print. Of course we always aim to be faithful to the original artifact.
Our printing company uses an Epson S Series professional printer to create vibrant archival pigment prints.

Nice work. What was it that made the reproduction of this image so challenging? Can I ask what type of printer you used?
